Night Songs is a collection of songs I recorded live, in the dark, all improvisational. There were no set chords or patterns, just turn on the tape machine and go. A couple of the themes in the music here have ended up in songs that I have completed with lyrics. Sometimes you might here pauses in the music, as my mind was racing and trying to think of what to do next. I did not edit these songs or take out any "bad" notes. when you play improv there are no bad notes. I hope you enjoy this CD.

On May 29th, 2004, J.J. gave a concert to benefit the choral music department at Redlands East Valley High School.
